MC Mobility Consultants is pleased to share that on 9 September our team, together with the Port of Klaipėda, hosted a strategic stakeholder workshop as part of the Pathways2Resilience (P2R) programme. Representatives from the Association Klaipėda Region, the Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, and the Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies joined the session to engage in an inclusive dialogue on the future climate risks facing the Port of Klaipėda.
Through scenario-building exercises, participants examined the potential impacts of hydrodynamic change—such as sea level rise, stronger storms, and shifting salinity—as well as the broader global redistribution of trade flows. The outcomes of these discussions are now being integrated directly into the Port of Klaipėda’s Climate Resilience Strategy, Adaptation Action Plan, and Investment Plan.
The workshop underscored a shared commitment to positioning the Port of Klaipėda as a resilient, future-ready hub built on digital innovation, green energy, ecosystem protection, and strong regional collaboration. This collective effort represents a significant step forward in developing long-term resilience pathways for coastal regions across Europe.
MC Mobility Consultants is honored to contribute to this important work as part of the P2R consortium, alongside the Port of Klaipėda, Association Klaipėda Region, Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, and the Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies.
