The MOVEO project was officially launched in Málaga, Spain, on 27–28 May 2025, marking the beginning of an ambitious effort to transform how people and goods move across Europe’s transport networks. Hosted by project coordinator CEMOSA, the kick-off meeting brought together 16 partners from nine European countries—including MC Mobility Consultants—to begin joint work on this forward-looking Horizon Europe initiative.

As urban populations grow and freight volumes continue to rise, Europe’s transport systems face increasing strain. MOVEO aims to address these challenges by developing smart, integrated solutions that support seamless, door-to-door mobility for both passengers and logistics.

The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium spanning transport engineering, data science, infrastructure management, and digital innovation. A core component of MOVEO is the development of advanced tools—including Digital Twins—that will allow partners to model, optimize, and improve traffic flow across multiple modes of transport: road, rail, inland waterways, and ports.

Central to the project are five real-world demonstrators representing diverse infrastructure conditions, climate environments, and life-cycle stages. These demonstration sites will operate as living laboratories where MOVEO technologies are deployed, tested, and refined. The results will inform scalable traffic management solutions capable of benefiting transport networks across Europe and beyond.
