The digitalisation of freight transport is accelerating across Europe, and the Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) framework stands at the centre of this transformation. MC Mobility Consultants is proud to contribute to this effort through our involvement in the newly launched eFTI4LIVE Project, which began with a two-day kick-off event on 29 October in Madrid, hosted by Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

The event brought together more than 55 experts from 19 EU Member States to advance Europe’s transition toward seamless digital freight data exchange. Building on the foundation set by earlier eFTI initiatives, participating authorities, technology providers, and industry representatives explored next steps for implementing interoperable, secure, and fully compliant digital transport information systems.

Our Senior Digitalisation Consultant, Vilius Kasperavičius, joined discussions focused on platform certification, interoperability requirements, and the practical operationalisation of upcoming data exchange standards. His involvement leverages MC Mobility Consultants’ continued contribution to the eFTI4EU and eFTI4ALL projects, ensuring that best practices, technical insights, and lessons learned are shared across the wider eFTI ecosystem.

The coordinated efforts of leading eFTI projects, Member State authorities, and industry stakeholders are bringing Europe significantly closer to a unified digital freight environment, with full implementation targeted for 2027.
