2025 was a pivotal year for MC Mobility Consultants, characterised by strong growth in both headcount and revenue, an expanded international presence, and a broader, more complex project portfolio. Building on solid foundations, the company further strengthened its role in supporting the development of safer, more sustainable, and more connected transport systems worldwide.
This level of activity reflects not only rising demand for MC’s expertise, but also the organisation’s demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality outcomes consistently across diverse regions, funding instruments, and institutional contexts.
Focus on R&D projects
In addition to consulting assignments delivered for IFIs and public and private clients, MC Mobility Consultants placed a strong emphasis on R&D in 2025. Over the year, the team started to implement and coordinate multiple projects funded under key EU programmes, including:
- 3 Horizon Europe projects, addressing future mobility systems, innovation, and resilience;
- 3 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) projects, focused on freight transport digitalisation (eFTI);
- 1 Interreg Europe project, supporting policy development and transnational cooperation for green public procurement.
Together, these projects strengthened MC’s expertise in R&D projects implementation, reinforced the company’s international partnerships, and enhanced its ability to translate research outputs into actionable tools, guidelines, and implementation pathways for public authorities and the wider transport sector.
Broadening Scope, Expanding Reach
Alongside continued growth in delivery volume, MC Mobility Consultants further expanded the breadth of its services in 2025 and strengthened its international footprint. The company deliberately diversified into adjacent infrastructure domains while scaling established technical capabilities in its core transport practice areas.
A key milestone during the year was MC’s entry into the road construction supervision market, confirmed through the award of several contracts in Central Asia. In parallel, MC expanded into a new sector with its first assignments in water and irrigation construction supervision – a strategic step that builds on the company’s infrastructure delivery experience and creates additional long-term opportunities in the wider civil works and asset management space.
Strengthening Core Technical Capabilities
MC also significantly strengthened its capabilities and portfolio in transport modelling and road safety auditing. Transport modelling activities scaled across multiple Lithuanian cities and expanded into private-sector engagements, supporting more data-driven planning and investment decision-making. Road safety auditing and related advisory services were delivered across a growing set of countries, including Lithuania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan, reinforcing MC’s position as a trusted partner in safety-focused infrastructure development and institutional capacity building.
At the same time, MC consolidated and expanded its role in transport digitalisation, delivering training and technical support across the East Asia & Pacific, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. These activities contributed to stronger institutional readiness for digital transformation and supported the adoption of modern tools and practices across transport administrations and sector stakeholders.
Throughout the year, the team also delivered dozens of additional projects in strategic planning, regulatory development, capacity building, and research – further strengthening its footprint across EU Member States, the Eastern Partnership Countries, Balcans, and Central Asia. In 2025, this momentum extended MC’s global reach to Latvia and Pakistan, expanding an already active portfolio spanning 63 countries worldwide.
Among the year’s most visible achievements were flagship assignments demonstrating MC’s breadth: the Vilnius Mobilisation Plan, enhancing preparedness for force majeure situations; a Road Safety Improvement project in Kyrgyzstan, supporting institutional capacity and safer road infrastructure at national level; and a review of road safety audit procedures in Ukraine.
Recognition That Confirms Market Position
MC Mobility Consultants’ performance in 2025 was matched by significant external recognition. The company was awarded Best Road Consultancy Company of the Year in Kyrgyzstan, one of the most respected sector recognitions in Central Asia, reinforcing MC’s position as a trusted partner in the region.
MC Baltics (a subsidiary of MC Mobility Consultants) also made it into the list of the top 6% of Lithuanian companies, reflecting strong organisational performance, sustainable growth, and long-term strategic focus.
Beyond formal recognition, MC Mobility Consultants maintained a strong international presence through active engagement in high-level events and policy dialogues. In 2025, the team co-organised the Green Governance Day 2025 and hosted the ChemClimCircle2 (CCC-2) Partner Meeting in Vilnius.
MC experts also took on active speaking roles at international forums such as the EaP RSO Regional Road Safety Conference, the EU Green Development Dialogue, and meetings of the CAREC Transport Sector Coordinating Committee, contributing expertise on road safety, sustainable transport, and regional cooperation.
This scale of delivery is underpinned by a rapidly expanding team. In 2025 alone, MC Mobility Consultants increased its headcount by +117% compared with the previous year. This growth reflects a deliberate strategy: investing in people, offering above-market-average salaries, and building multidisciplinary teams capable of delivering complex international projects. Further team expansion is planned for 2026 as MC continues to grow responsibly and competitively.
Looking Ahead: A More Structured, More Ambitious 2026
MC Mobility Consultants enters new year with a clear ambition: to scale its impact while becoming more structured, specialised, and client-oriented. Starting in 2026, MC is implementing a new company strategy and organisational structure, built around three strategic streams:
Mobility Assessment & Modelling Stream
Grounded in data-driven analysis, this stream supports evidence-based decision-making and resilient project delivery across mobility, transport, and traffic safety. Advanced assessment and modelling methods enable early risk identification, justification of technical solutions, compliance with legal and technical frameworks, and the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable transport systems aligned with international best practices.
General Consulting
This stream delivers strategic policy, planning, and project delivery support aimed at transforming transport and mobility systems. It covers institutional reform, market development, policy and regulatory alignment with EU and international standards, partnership and procurement structuring, and funding support. The stream enables organisations to navigate complex governance and regulatory environments, strengthen institutional capacity, and successfully deliver complex, multi-stakeholder transport initiatives with long-term impact.
Research & Innovation Stream
At the forefront of applied transport research, this stream advances innovative concepts into scalable, real-world solutions. Activities span leadership in EU research programmes, development of smart and digital mobility ecosystems, AI-enabled analytics and modelling, and innovation in freight transport digitalisation, including eFTI, ensuring that research outcomes translate into measurable improvements in system performance and future readiness.
This new structure will allow MC to expand and clarify its service offering, better respond to client needs, and combine strategic advisory, technical excellence, and implementation capacity in a more integrated way. For clients, this means broader expertise under one roof, clearer value propositions, and stronger end-to-end support across the project lifecycle.
The strategic update is accompanied by a refreshed company website and brandbook, aligning the company’s visual identity and communication with its scale, maturity, and long-term ambitions.
With a stronger team, a refined strategy, and a growing portfolio of flagship international projects, MC Mobility Consultants enters the next phase of its development focused on what defines its work: combining technical excellence with strategic insight to deliver innovative mobility solutions.
